the issue with this is whether or not the rate justifies the service

even if the rate is top end dont you guys think the service should match ?

another huge deciding factor is the attitude of the wg, this style of acting like they doing you a favour is a major turn of and automatically what ever you paid is too much

Interesting discussion, but a difficult one.

Punting rates have not gone up with inflation sadly. From my recent chats with WGs, accommodation rates have increased significantly as COVID has reduced with more people travelling. Also, owners have started kicking them out as they have become more busy.

To add to that, the punting pool is quieter (been told, can’t confirm).
I think that if you don’t own your own venue, you may battle to make ends meet if you charge R600 - R 800. Just a view, no disrespect intended.
