although I sympathize with you, this is unnecessary drama.

He hasn't forced his request on you, he asked and you make the price or decide if not to do it. Obviously the insult is not necessary and I am very sorry that he hit hard, but this happens in any working environment, in particular when you work on your own...

I suggest, however, not to judge. I assume you understand that many people consider your job as devious as your client's hobby and judge you every day... do you like it? I assume not
