Not sure if these guys deserve the title of Mafia but they been around for a good number of years now.
There's a run down joint we have all heard tales about over the years in Morningside. Most of us who are not druggies and prefer classy girls tend to avoid it like the plague.
However, over the years I've heard from wgs that the Head Honcho at this place does not take too kindly to new / attractive girls operating within close vicinity (Morningside, Musgrave, North Beach etc). This obviously threatens his business in some way and he instead sends out some of his cronies (high on crack or meth usually) to intimidate girls who visit from out of town. Either work for him or leave town. Perhaps these cronies should lay off the drugs as they do tend to reveal pretty much everything about their operations....not exactly discreet types.
Durban has had a problem with retaining talent for some time now and this may be one of the primary causes. Perhaps if certain guys finally got a handle on their drug addictions they won't need his services anymore. It's pretty much just a drug den anyhow.
Also suspiciously, other venues get routinely raided whilst this one is still standing after all these years.
