Today i got a call from 060 358 0107.. The person on the other end claimed to be from a police station in centurion and that they have a warrent of arrest in my name... They have also claimed that I had been with an escort and after we were done and i left that she then realized that my money had been fake.. Therefore the escort came in and opened a case of rape and fraud. They also claimed that the escort had come in with a used condom as proof.. They had requested that I do a 3000 rand ewallet in order to make the case go away.. The thing is that I had not been with any escort in that area. I had called around but eneded up not booking anyone. Furthermore the above number is marked as a scam number on true caller.. anyone else had a similar experience?

Yes my brother they got you good.. A police man named Smith called me as well with the same exact story, I called the police station which they said I should came at to confirm if there is a case opened under my name nd they had no idea... It's a strategy to make you pay off money for nothing

If the number is marked as "scam" on Truecaller, why would you even pick up the phone in the first place??

thats a good point dont answer scam calls
and take note which girl you calling cos its just a handfull that are working with these scammers

it happen to me as well they very convincing even saying they got recordings
in the end it amounts to nothing , they hope that you give into the pressure and pay
and even if i had to pay these fuckers i widnt send them an ewallet, coward extortionists

There is a scammer under every rock. Irrespective of the nature of the scam simply block the number. If they try to make contact again on a different number, simply block that number as well. Eventually they get the message and move on to more gullible peeps.
