So last week I received a call from Det Mike from organized crimes and Det Mike doesn't even sound South African.
Few things about me, I used to use my original number, and for the last year or so, I managed to get a burner phone and sim.
So this comes from a lady I saw over a year ago.
They come with the same story, A charge has been layed against me for rape and assault. And he checked my criminal record and im clean. Which is wrong, I do have a record. nothing bad, but I do.
So he proceeds to tell me I'm a good guy and he doesn't want to make trouble in my life so I must pay him R1000 to make it all disappear.

So I tell him, 1stly I do have a criminal record, he says oh, for what? I said you the detective, you suppose to know.
2ndly, give me the case number. He couldn't give it coz the girl wants to remain anonymous.
So I asked for his badge number, and he couldn't give it coz he wants to remain anonymous.
Just a warning be careful and don't fall for the cons.

I received another call from someone else this morning, coming with the same story lol.
I suppose I just keep blocking numbers.
